godDAMN you guys these party pages take ages to draw. I think the fault lies in the combined crowd shots and fancy party showmanship. But I better lock in because that will be the vibe for quite a while…

My fellow Sherlock nerds will recognize the name Irene Adler. I just couldn’t resist throwing her in, haha. A shoutout to my sibling @happistar for designing her!

I’m not sure how easy it is to see, but Carew has a bust of the two-faced Roman god Janus in his house. I think you can guess the implicit theming there. Related fun lore fact: When I first hammered out my designs for Jekyll/Hyde (based on the novella, but the same designs used in this comic), I gave them tie pins that reference Janus’ dual symbols, the key and the staff. Hyde gets the staff, since he kills Carew with his cane in the novella, and Jekyll gets the key, since he destroys the key to the lab after that incident (and in general, sort of holds the keys to what Hyde gets access to). Honestly, the only reason cheval glass!Jekyll and Hyde don’t have the pins is because I’m too lazy to add the detail.
