You may have noticed this already, but Jekyll’s speech is basically just an excuse for me to mash up a bunch of my fav novella quotes. Look, it’s the perfect time to throw them all in here!!

I wanted to show a lot of public reaction when I wrote the speech, but once I got to drawing it I quickly realized having 9+ characters react takes up a LOT of space. On the bright side, there isn’t much happening with Jekyll as he talks, so I can add some interest by having the crowd’s panels show up atop his. Problem solved!

This middle panel is brought to you by my obsession with Clip Studio’s dry ink brush. You may have glimpsed the start of that here… I never know how far to push style weirdness when everything else is committed to the comic’s style, but I think this one turned out okay.
